Water Resource Assessment
Every community needs water - and lots of it. Let us take, for example, India. India has, and has had for many years, the highest population in the world. India's economy is sky-rocketing in the light of decades of urbanization, modernization, industrialization, and the boom in digital technologies. Despite the spread of western-style urban planning, there are still many small villages throughout the country that rely on unfiltered wells and rivers for water. Unfortunately, a few unscrupulous multinational corporations commandeer much of this water, often polluting what remains. And so it is the task of hydrologists, with special training and equipment, to scout areas for new sources of wellwater - wells that will provide generation upon generations with a safe source of water for drinking, bathing, and every other essential function water serves.
