Drinking Water Safety
Who would know better about the safety of drinking water than a hydrologist? With special tools, training, and knowledge, the hydrologist is able to determine the safety and viability of a drinking water source. Reservoirs are closely monitored by chemical hydrologists and isotope hydrologists who examine the chemical makeup of a water source, make recommendations for proper upkeep, and decide when and how a source must be treated. Lives depend on it.
